FALL ARRIVES IN THE TOWNSHIPS
(October 10, 2003)

The breathtaking colours that draw so many visitors to the Eastern Townships have only just begun to reach their peak. All over the region, the maples and other hardwoods are turning bright yellow, orange and red. The display can be quite dazzling! On the international border, Stanstead East. (Photo: Matthew Farfan)

Some of the best scenery in the Townships can be found along the region's less travelled back roads, those dirt byways that one can still manage to get lost on, but that eventually lead to identifiable crossroads with signs. There are always surprises along the way, and always plenty of reasons to stop and take photos.

And what better way to enjoy the fall colours!
