THE RELIGIOUS HERITAGE OF MEMPHREMAGOG
(August 18, 2004)

Matthew Farfan

The MRC Memphremagog has just released the latest in its series of brochures on the heritage of this splendid region around Lake Memphremagog. Titled The MRC of Memphremagog... A Religious Heritage to Discover, the 16-page brochure is the fourth in this ongoing series.

Chapters in the brochure spotlight the architectural heritage of the Catholic Church, the Anglican Church, the United Church, the Adventists, the Baptists, and other smaller denominations. There are also sections on cemeteries and wayside crosses, as well as a list of all the existing churches (and former churches) in the MRC.

The brochure is lavishly illustrated with both archival and contemporary photography, and includes a map of the region. Copies of the brochure are available at the offices of the MRC Memphremagog in Magog, and at local town halls throughout the region.
