The history of Cowansville and area; genealogy.

Archives / Library (partly housed in the municipal library).
COLLECTIONS:
Publications and documents pertaining to local history and genealogy.
These include: 6,000 subjects; 26,000 references; 12 directories
(1851-1936); an index of 15,000 names (900 pages) from the publication
Entre-Nous (1944-53), including photographs, births, marriages,
and deaths for employees and their parents, in French and English;
data from 15 cemeteries (5 in Cowansville, 10 elsewhere).
SPECIAL ACTIVITIES:
Research. On-site requests for information are usually responded
to within minutes. Email requests often receive attention the same
day.

The Vilas Story.
Both publications are free with a donation
of $5.00.
