MISSION:
Formerly known as the Société d'histoire de Shefford,
the Haute-Yamaska historical society seeks to promote and publicize
regional and national history through publications, exhibitions,
conferences, and audio-visual productions. The area of focus includes
the MRCs of Acton, Haute-Yamaska, and Brome-Missisquoi, but emphasis
is on the 11 municipalities of Haute-Yamaska, in particular the
City of Granby.

COLLECTIONS:
Documentation on local, regional, and national history. Genealogical
reference material.
SPECIAL ACTIVITIES:
Collecting and conserving archival material according to provincial
and Archives nationales du Québec guidelines. Genealogical
services. Supporting the preservation of heritage buildings in the
MRC de La Haute-Yamaska.
PUBLICATIONS:
An extensive number of publications on regional history are available
(please inquire for titles and prices).
